Suspected thieves abandon a vehicle near Times Group offices in Blantyre

Police in Blantyre have launched a manhunt for unknown suspected thieves who have abandoned a vehicle near Times Group offices at Ginnery Corner in Blantyre after a car chase.

It is said that the law enforcers received a tip from well-wishers that the thieves who were using a vehicle registration number BT777M were on a mission to rob a certain company within the city.

The law enforcers swiftly reacted to the tip and bumped into the vehicle within Chipembere Highway resulting into a car chase.

Suspecting danger the suspected thieves turned at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) roundabout and took the Salmin Almour road where the call collided with a Benz.

The suspected thieves proceeded and abandoned the vehicle at PTC head office at Ginnery Corner near Times Group offices.

The suspected thieves then escaped from the scene.
