Scorchers Captain, Tabitha Chawinga has been named in the 2023 CAF Fifpro best eleven(women’s) at the 2023 CAF Awards held in Marrakech, Morocco, last night.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward is among the deadly front three, alongside Nigerian Asisat Oshoala and Zambian Barbara Banda.

Tabitha did not attend the awards ceremony due to PSG’s busy schedule which saw her playing for her club last night.

Other players that are in the best eleven are Andile Dlamini, Bambani Mbane, Lebohang Ramalepe, Michielle Aloize, Osinachi Ohale, Fatima Tagnaout, Linda Matlhalo and Refiloe Jane.

The Malawian star has also been nominated for the D1 Arkema player of the month award, after netting 6 goals and contributing two assists in 8 appearances for PSG.

Chawinga, was the top scorer in Serie A Feminine last season with 23 goals while on loan at Inter Milan from Chinese side Wuhan Jianghan.
