MUM holds memorial of musician Joseph Tembo

It has been four years now since this country lost the legendary singer and recording artist, Joseph Tembo.

Late Tembo died on 19 December 2019 at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe after a short illness, and he was buried in Blantyre at HHI.

According to the leader of Musicians Union of Malawi (MUM), Vita Chirwa described the late Tembo as a profound talent artist that continues to be seen in the country when it comes to music.

Apart from his singing and recording skill, Joseph Tembo was also a member of parliament of Chikwawa West constituency.

Tembo died at the age of 42 and left a wife and four children, and currently his one son, Joseph Tembo Junior is following in his father’s footsteps when it comes to recording music.
