Man killed by unknown thugs in Lilongwe

A 45 year old man has been killed by unknown thugs near a road to Nambuma in the area of Village Headman Mzuma, Traditional Authority Mtema in Lilongwe.

Lilongwe Police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Ngwira, the law enforcers received a tip on January 4, 2024 that unknown man is lying lifeless at the place and they rushed to the scene.

The body was taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital for postmortem where it was revealed that the deceased died of suffocation and severe pain as a result of the attack.

The law enforcers have since launched a manhunt for the suspected criminals.
