Police officer caught red-handed with a married woman in Chitipa

A police officer stationed at Nthallire Police Unit in Chitipa was on Sunday caught red-handed with a married woman at Nthalire trading center.

The law enforcers are currently investigating the matter since there two version of the whole incident, according to a police report made available to this publication.

It is said that Mateyo Sibale who happens to be the husband to the woman in question together with some community members on Sunday night stormed Nthalire Police unity to report the ordeal.

“Brief facts are that on the date and material time community from Nthalire went to Nthalire Police Unit and found the OB on duty and informed him that Sgt KALIKHUZI has been found in the house of the reporter.

“Upon receipt of the report the OB keeper called S/Insp. Mang’oma and S/Insp. SINGANO who later rushed to the scene and found him inside the house while tied on arms and legs,” reads part of the report.

Added the report: “It is rumoured that Sgt kalikhuzi was in love affair with the wife of Mr. Mateyo Sibale who has just been released on bail at Chitipa Police Station.

“Finally Police and community members have agreed that they should meet on Monday, 22/01/2024 to discuss the matter. However, Sgt. KALIKHUZI is giving a very different version of the occurrence of the matter. Full details of the matter to follow after the discussion.”
