Mulhako wa Alhomwe cultural grouping has dismissed allegations of firing its patron, Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Chairperson for the grouping, Muchanakhwaye Mpuluka, has further parried away claims that the Mulhakho board met President Lazarus Chakwera at Sanjika Palace with this agenda.

He told a news conference in Blantyre that their patron, Mutharika, can only be fired at an annual general meeting.
