SA’s Tyla Bags Grammy For Best African Music Performance

A 22 year-old South African singer Tyla has scooped a Grammy award in the category of Best African Music

Her track ‘water’ has made her to wash away the desire of Nigerian musician of grabbing the Award.

Water hit maker beat out Davido,Burna Boy, Asake and Ayra Starr at the 66^th annual Grammy Awards.

The musician, whose full name is Tyla Laura Seethal was ecstatic after her name was revealed as the winner.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa has congratulated Tyla for coming home a recognition of Grammy award.

In an X post, President Ramaphosa said the singer added herself to the list of eminent South African artists and musicians who have made incredible mark on the world stage.
