Police in Mulanje are hunting for people who exhumed bones from a grave at Chimwaza village in Traditional Authority Njema.
The District Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Innocent Moses, says the suspects managed to extract most of the bones, leaving only a skull in the coffin.
According to Sergeant Moses, investigations are underway to establish who was buried in that tomb.
It is suspected that the incident happened on the nights of February 11 and 12, 2024.
