Navicha on MCP’s neck over Development Projects

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader in Parliament Mary Navicha has called on Tonse Alliance government to start giving credit to DPP for the projects that it initiated and are being completed by the current government.

Speaking in Parliament this morning Navicha said government should learn to appreciate works of others.

She was reacting to Minister of Local Government, Unity and Culture Richard Chimwendo Banda’s remarks that the current government is changing the face of Zomba City and pointed to Domasi Hospital, as one of the projects that the Tonse Alliance government is implementing.

Navicha who stood on a point of order said Domasi Hospital was constructed under the previous regime. She emphasised that the Tonse Alliance government is only working on finishings and therefore should give credit to the DPP.

Zomba Malosa MP Grace Kwelepeta also wondered how government is improving the face of Zomba City when the same government is moving headquarters of some institutions from Zomba to Lilongwe.
