First Grade Magistrate Kondani Chinangwa heard through state prosecutor Felix Senzani that Mapondo beat up Gomani to the extent of cutting the testicles on February 16, 2024, at Mianga Estate in the district.
Meanwhile, Senzani asked the court to adjourn the matter for seven days to wait for the medical report, which will be due on February 29 this month.
A 42-year-old man, Lonjezo Mapondo, has pleaded guilty in Thyolo to the offence of cutting testicles for Lloyd Gomani, accusing him of backbiting.
Magistrate Chinangwa has since adjourned it to March 6, 2024.
