A 40 year old woman identified as Fanny Kapale has been arrested for allegedly scalding her husband in Dowa.
Dowa Police Spokesperson Alice Sitima has confirmed about the incident which occurred yesterday at Mtimaukanena Village in the district.
She said on the day, the victim Joseph Billy Ngozo, 53, who is a security guard and a business man reportedly went to collect money from his customers but upon returning home the wife got angry and accused the man of having an extra marital affair with another woman.
According to Sitima, the victim tried to reason with the woman but to no avail and she went ahead pouring hot water on his stomach.
The woman will appear before court soon to answer the charge of acts intended to cause grievous harm according to the police publicist.
