Zamm Investment speaks out after ban on Cool Drop Water

Zamm Investments, manufacturers of Cool Drop Water has conceded that it had a technical hitch at their factory in Lilongwe which led to supply of substandard water on the market.

The development comes barely days after Competition and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC) declared Cool Drop bottled water harmful for human consumption.

In a statement the Company’s Public Relations Manager Collings Linyenga said the fault only affected the 500ml bottled water batch numbers 291, 016, and 012 which were detected with white foreign materials.

He added that they immediately fixed the problem and all the affected water was recalled from the market.

Linyenga further said they are now engaging Competitions and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC) on why they warned their customers to stop buying their products while they had already recalled the affected water.
