Police fires teargas at youths gathered at Capital Hotel roundabout in Lilongwe

Police have fired teargas at the youths who gathered at Capital Hotel roundabout along the Presidential Way to demonstrate against the delays in Israel jobs deal.

Some of the youths run towards the Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) and Capital Hotel but the police followed them and fired teargas into the BICC compound.

Immediately after the teargas, traffic police officers came and cleared the road for President Lazarus Chakwera to pass.

The disgruntled youths are accusing the Tonse Alliance government of interfering in the Israel deal.
