Praise Umali is a former member of Zathu Band, guitarist, singer and producer at manifest studio. He is currently based in Lilongwe.
On Thursday 28 March 2024, Praise Umali performed live at Street Corner in Chitawira road opposite Chitawira Primary school. Praise Umali was called to perform at a street corner because it’s a new place and the owner wanted Praise to attract people so that the people can know more about the place through the show.
The renowned artist after the show urged the people who went to his show to be visiting street corner often every time they want good chills and it’s a nice spot for them.
Umali on good Friday night performed live at Sunbird Mt Soche he called it the Before April concert. This was the third time he is holding such an event for his fans. He also showcased his instrument playing skills as he played his guitar strumming it as he sung song after song.
Praise Umali has got two albums September and the newly –released, What We Become.
Teddy Makadi and Nathaniel Chaluchalu were the supporting artist while Onesimus, Eli Njuchi and Classick were the surprise acts at the Before April concert and they delivered.
The aim of the Before April show was to use as platform to announce his second album title What We Become that has songs such as ‘Ku Tiyeni’, Mukakula and many more.
