Man arrested for beating, undressing a woman who rejected his relationship proposal in Ntchisi

A 30 year old man is in Police custody in Ntchisi for allegedly beating and undressing a woman who rejected his relationship proposal.

Ntchisi Police spokesperson Sub inspector Salomy Zgambo has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspect as Julius Manda and the victim as Jenifer Robert.

According to Zgambo, the victim went to the market to buy some food stuffs and met Manda who was heavily drunk.

Manda proposed the victim who rejected.

The development angered Manda who in return started beating the victim and also tore her clothes leaving her naked.

The suspected will appear in court to answer charges of insulting the modesty of a woman and other charges.
