The Central Bankers Silver Strikers Fc have secured their position of topping 2024 TNM super league after defeating Blantyre based Mighty Mukuru Wanderers 2 nil at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday 29 May 2024.
In the first forty five minutes, there was no goal scored in both teams despite the goal from bankers which the official claim it to be offside.
However, in second half, the central bankers used the striking force from Captain Chikondi Kamanga who scored at 57’ after receiving a beautiful pass from Chimwemwe Idana.
At 84’ Zebron Kalima from bankers doubles the lead with a cracker from outside the box leading the game to end at 2 nil favors Silver Strikers.
The game which started with people’s interest was spiced up with the attendance of Wanderers’ first couple Dr Thomson Frank Mpinganjira and his wife Triephornia.
