Police in Balaka District have arrested 18 people on suspicion of having committed various crimes in the district.
According to the police spokesperson, Mr. Gladson M’bumpha, these people are suspected of having committed crimes such as housebreaking, theft, and illegal possession of marijuana.
M’bumpha said these people were arrested in areas around Mpulura, Mangerengere, Khwisa, Andiamo, Matola, Mponda and Balaka town.
These people are between the ages of 18 and 38 and will appear in court soon to answer charges leveled against them.
