As the road to the elective conference for the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) hits up, Bertha Kolopo has been appointed as advisor to former President Peter Mutharika.
DPP spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba has confirmed of the appointment in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
According to Namalomba, the appointment is with immediate effect.
Namalomba has also confirmed of the appointment of Maria Mainja Ndasowa on the post of DPP regional director of women responsible for the south.
