A 22-year old man, Grecium Likhonyowa, who hailed from Goliat Village, Traditional Authority Chiwalo, has committed suicide by hanging himself to the roof of his house over family issues in Phalombe.
This occurred at Lihaka Village, Traditional Authority Chiwalo in the  district.
The husband was from Goliat Village and was staying with his wife at Lihaka Village. Earlier this month he was given a capital by his father in-law to start the business and he was selling mangoes, for the past few days he stopped the business.
His wife became suspicious that her husband used money for other means because when asked he failed to explain where the money was.
Marriage counselors came to solve their differences, soon after advocates Left the house, the wife went out to draw water but unfortunately, on return she found lifeless body of her husband hanging to the roof of their house.
Upon seeing that the wife went to inform his brother who later informed police who rushed to the scene accompanied by medical personnel.
Postmortem results revealed that the death was due to suffocation secondary to strangulation. No foul play suspected.
Police is appealing to the general public that terminating your own life is not the solution of solving problems instead seek spiritual intervention as well as visit Psycho-Socio clinic for counseling because there is always second chance in this life and no problem is permanent.
