Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Wife in Phalombe Domestic Dispute

Police in Phalombe have arrested Joseph Majawa, 30, of Ndunya Village, Traditional Authority Nkhulambe, for allegedly killing his wife during a domestic dispute.
According to police spokesperson Jimmy Kapanja, Majawa returned home drunk around 11:30 PM and refused food offered by his wife.
An argument ensued, leading to an assault that left her with bruises on her neck and legs.
Kapanja added that relatives rushed the victim to Mulungu Alinafe Clinic, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
A postmortem confirmed that the cause of death was strangulation.
