INDIA – A 45-year-old man, Gurumurthy, from Hyderabad, India, has confessed to the murder of his wife, Venkata Madhavi, following an argument. Gurumurthy claimed that he killed his wife on January 16 by slamming her against a wall, which caused her immediate death.

Afterward, he dismembered her body, boiled the parts in a pressure cooker, and disposed of the remains in a nearby lake.

Madhavi had been reported missing since January 16. Police grew suspicious after reviewing CCTV footage, which showed her entering the house on January 15 but not leaving in the following days.

Gurumurthy was questioned by the police, and after initially providing inconsistent statements, he admitted to the crime.

While Gurumurthy has confessed, the police have not yet recovered any body parts, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are continuing to search for evidence and are treating the case as a missing person investigation due to the lack of physical proof.

As of today, Gurumurthy remains a free man.
