Police Tightens Security Measures During Easter Holiday

The Malawi Police Service says it has intensified security efforts across the country during this Easter season.

In a statement, national police spokesperson Peter Kalaya said officers have been strategically deployed in various areas to ensure a reduction in crime and the safety of all citizens during the festive period.

Kalaya also noted that traffic police have been stationed along major roads to help minimize road accidents, which tend to rise during holidays.

He further urged members of the public to cooperate with the police in promoting peace and safety during Easter.
