
626,192 Candidates to Sit for 2025 National Exams, MANEB Partners with Police & MDF

A total of 626,192 candidates are expected to sit for the 2025 national examinations between 21st May and 25th July, the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has announced.
In a statement, MANEB Executive Director Professor Dorothy Nampota said preparations are complete and emphasized that security will be tight, with the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and the Malawi Police Service once again playing a critical role in safeguarding examination materials and storage facilities.
According to the board, 257,129 learners will sit for the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE), 166,123 for the Junior Certificate of Education (JCE), and 202,940 for the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
Commenting on the development, educationist Dr. Limbani Nsapato commended MANEB for its preparedness but called on the board to ensure zero exam leakage, the timely payment of invigilators, and the prompt release of examination results.
