PDP Ward Councillor Agnes Chembezi Dies

The People’s Development Party (PDP) ward councillor for Sanga in Nkhata Bay South East constituency, Agnes Chembezi, has died. The news was confirmed by Nkhata Bay District Commissioner Rodgers Newa.

Chembezi was initially elected on a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) ticket but crossed over to the PDP, led by Kondwani Nankhumwa, earlier this year. She also served as the PDP’s Director of Women for the Northern Region.
