A 20-year-old woman from Makalani Village in Traditional Authority Nthache has given birth to quadruplets at Mwanza District Hospital and is appealing to well-wishers for support to help care for the newborns.
Dorothy Lingi, the mother of the four babies three of whom are girls expressed joy at the safe delivery but also concern over her ability to raise them due to limited financial resources.
“I’m grateful for this blessing, but I worry about how I will manage to provide for all four of them,” Lingi said in an interview at the hospital.
Hospital nurse Promise Malembetsa confirmed that both the mother and her babies are in stable condition despite the newborns having been born underweight. She added that medical staff are providing the necessary care and monitoring their progress closely.
The young mother is now seeking assistance in the form of baby supplies, clothing, food, and other essentials to help her through this unexpected journey of raising quadruplets.
