Tay Grin Fires Back- “I’m Not Just Taking Pictures , I’m Making International Moves”

Celebrated Malawian artist Tay Grin has clapped back at critics who have long accused him of only taking photos with international celebrities rather than collaborating with them musically.

In a bold Facebook post, Tay Grin questioned the logic behind the criticism, writing: “Is it a crime to take pictures with a lot of people? I have a phone with a camera what’s wrong with using it? You used to take pictures with these same people, we never complained. Why now?”

Known for his glamorous international connections, Tay Grin has shared camera time with some of the biggest names in global music including Rick Ross, Davido, Madonna, Fireboy DML, Mr. P (of P-Square), Awilo Longomba, and more.

While he has previously released songs with 2Baba (Nigeria) and Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania), fans on social media have often mocked him for having more photos than actual collaborations.

But Tay Grin says critics should relax something big is coming. He revealed that he has a new international track on the way featuring Congolese soukous legend Awilo Longomba and UK-based comedian and entertainer Eddie Kadi.

“Get ready! Very soon, I’ll be releasing a new song that I did with Awilo Longomba and Eddie Kadi,” he posted.

The announcement could mark a turning point for Tay Grin, whose critics have long claimed that he is more focused on photo ops than producing music with the stars he meets.

With this new release, Tay Grin appears determined to prove that he’s not just building a reputation he’s building an international career.
