Man Arrested in Mzimba for Impersonating MDF Soldier

Police in Mzimba District have arrested 33-year-old Throase Bandawe on suspicion of impersonating a Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldier.
Mzimba District Police Spokesperson, Maria Banda, said Bandawe, who was arrested yesterday, was found wearing an MDF uniform.
However, soldiers providing security at a Form 2 examination venue in the district apprehended Bandawe after he admitted that he was not a soldier.
Throase Bandawe, who hails from the Mazengera Chiefdom in Lilongwe, has been charged with impersonating a soldier.
