Man Arrested For Sodomizing 3-year-old Boy in Zambia

A 37-year-old man from Sibusu Village in Monze Chiefdom is in police custody on suspicion of sodomizing a 3-year-old boy from the same area.
The incident reportedly occurred on June 5, 2025, between 18:30 and 20:30 hours.
On that day, the victim’s father left home around 17:00 hours with his three sons, aged 12, 6, and the 3-year-old victim.
Around 20:00 hours, the father returned home drunk with only the two older boys.
When the mother asked the 12-year-old about his younger brother, he said the boy was at the suspect’s house.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, stated that the mother and a neighbor went to the suspect’s house to retrieve the child.
The suspect, speaking from inside, claimed he would return the boy the next morning, but the mother insisted.
After handing over the child, the mother noticed stains resembling semen on his jersey.
While bathing the boy, she discovered his anal area was swollen and bruised.
The victim confirmed that the suspect had sexually abused him.When confronted, the suspect initially denied the allegations but later fled.
Police arrested him the following day.
