S3x Worker Found Dead At A Rest House in Nkhotakota , Foul Play Suspected

Police in Nkhotakota are investigating the suspected murder of an unidentified woman believed to be a sex worker, whose lifeless body was discovered early Monday morning.

According to Nkhotakota Police spokesperson Paul Malimwe, medical personnel who examined the body confirmed signs pointing to foul play, helping authorities to quickly establish that the death was not natural.

“Although her name and area of origin remain unknown at this time, our officers have already launched a full investigation to trace the person responsible for this suspected murder,” Malimwe told reporters.

Mary Chiyimba, Chairperson of the local sex workers’ association in Nkhotakota, said the deceased had reportedly arranged to spend the night with a male client who later vanished at dawn.

“It was other sex workers who found her body after noticing she had not come out of her room,” said Chiyimba. “They entered and discovered she was already dead.”

The body has since been taken to the hospital for postmortem examination, while police continue with efforts to identify the suspect and notify the deceased’s family.

Authorities are urging members of the public who may have information regarding the incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
