Seven Arrested in Salima for Illegal Possession of Cannabis

Police in Salima have arrested seven people for being suspected of illegal possession of Cannabis Sativa, locally known as Chamba without a licence.
Salima Police public relations officer Rabecca Ndiwate said the 7 were arrested at Chisani, Limbi and Kambwiri locations.
The suspects are Laston Machitidwe (65) of Dete Village, Austin Samson (21) of Nthiwatiwa Village, Mika Davies (22) Chenyama Village, Percy Muhammad (18) from Steven Village, Fazili Chibowa (24) of Chenyama, Rodgers Lufeyo (30) from Steven Village and 30-year-old Magret Joseph of Simpha Village, all from Traditional Authority Kalonga in the district.
She said all the suspects failed to produce licences when asked to do so. They are expected to appear in court soon.
