Chakwera Assents to Elections Amendment Bill, Allowing On-Duty Staff to Vote

State House Press Secretary Antony Kasunda confirmed that President Lazarus Chakwera has signed into law the Presidential, Parliamentary, and Local Government Elections Amendment (Amendment) Bill.
The newly assented legislation enables polling staff, candidate representatives, political party agents, and security personnel to cast their votes at the polling stations where they are assigned to work on election day.
Malawians are expected to go to the general polls on 16th September this year.
