Bride Dies One Month After Wedding

Heartbreak has struck a Luanshya family in Zambia after a newlywed woman, Saya Mwale, passed away just one month after her beautiful wedding. Saya Mwale, 26, died on November 16, 2025, leaving behind her grief-stricken husband, Agape Nhlanhla Ngwenya.
Saya and Agape had married on September 27, 2025, following their traditional Chilanga Mulilo ceremony held on August 9.
Saya’s sister, Cindy Kasalwe, spoke exclusively to TV Yatu, sharing the details of the sudden tragedy. According to Kasalwe, Saya fell ill just a few weeks into her marriage, despite having been in good health throughout the wedding preparations.
The young bride was hospitalized for several days, battling a suspected case of malaria. She was later discharged after her condition reportedly improved. However, tragically, just days after returning home, Saya’s health deteriorated, leading to her death on November 16.
The passing of the new wife has plunged her family and friends into deep sorrow. Condolences and words of encouragement have been pouring in for the bereaved family, offering comfort during this difficult time.
