20-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Kasungu, One Arrested

Kasungu police have arrested Sinoya Faidoni on suspicion of murdering Tinayani Nyloni, whose body was discovered in a dug latrine at Chisinga Market in the district.

According to Kasungu police spokesperson Joseph Kachikho, Chisinga Police have been investigating the case since February 13, the day Nyloni’s body was found.

Kachikho said a post-mortem examination revealed that Nyloni, 20, died from head injuries.

Although her body was discovered on February 13, 2026, Nyloni went missing on February 10, 2026, when neighbours reportedly heard a baby crying in her house and found her alone.

The police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is ongoing.
