36-Year-Old Nabbed in Monkey Bay Theft Spree

Police in Monkey Bay have arrested 36-year-old Samson Thom in connection with a series of alleged break-ins.

According to Monkey Bay Police spokesperson Kondwani James, Thom is suspected to have been breaking into cottages and stealing various items from November last year until his arrest.

In the first incident, Thom allegedly broke into a Villa Cottage storeroom on multiple occasions, stealing assorted items valued at K10 million. The stolen property includes a lawn mower, water pump, drilling machine, and grinding machine.

James further reported that in a separate incident, Thom is accused of breaking into Jasmine Cottage, where he stole a desktop computer, a 350-watt solar panel, and a 100-watt solar lamp, all valued at K4 million.

Thom hails from Chilombo Village under Traditional Authority Namkumba in Monkey Bay.
