Malawi Receives Bodies of Citizens Killed in Zimbabwe Road Crash

The remains of Malawian nationals who died in a road accident in Zimbabwe last week are expected to arrive in Malawi today, 11 May 2026.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the bodies will be received at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre at 4 p.m. during a solemn ceremony led by Chief Secretary to the Government Dr. Justin Saidi and other senior officials.
The victims died in a fatal crash that occurred in Zimbabwe on Tuesday, 5 May 2026. After the ceremony, the remains will be taken to their respective homes for burial.
The government has expressed condolences to the bereaved families and pledged solidarity with all those affected by the tragedy.
