Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Friend Over Headsets in Nsanje

Nsanje Police have arrested a 21-year-old man, Steven Reuben, for allegedly murdering his friend, Horseback Kambewa, following a misunderstanding over a headset at Matchuwa Village near Ngabu Market in the District.
Jabulani Ng’oma, Nsanje Police Publicist has identified the deceased as Horseback Kambewa, from Chinandilonda Village, Traditional Authority Ngabu in the district, while the suspect comes from Nkhalira Village under the same Traditional Authority.
Ng’oma says Kambewa was drinking beer with friends at a local drinking place when he became interested in buying a headset belonging to the suspect and started negotiating over the price, but a disagreement arose which later turned into a quarrel and fight.
According to Ng’oma the suspect allegedly produced a sharp knife and stabbed Kambewa on the left side of the chest and Kambewa managed to walk a short distance before collapsing.
Ng’oma further added that medical personnel at Nsanje District hospital confirmed that the death was caused by internal bleeding.
