Blantyre Man Arrested For Allegedly K!lling Drinking Mate After Bar Dispute

Police in Blantyre have arrested a 34-year-old man, Blessings Nawani, on suspicion of murdering 24-year-old Edson Juwawo following a disagreement at a drinking place in Manyowe Township.
Blantyre Police spokesperson Doris Mwitha confirmed the arrest, saying the suspect is currently in police custody and is expected to appear before court to answer a murder charge.
According to police, the incident occurred after the two men reportedly disagreed while drinking at a local bar in Manyowe.
The body of the deceased is being kept at the mortuary of Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital pending further procedures.
Meanwhile, police have appealed to members of the public to resolve disputes peacefully through dialogue and avoid resorting to violence.
