FAM Fines Changalume Barracks K300,000 for Breaching Match Entry Rules

Changalume Barracks have been fined K300,000 by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) for using an undesignated entry point during their NBS Bank National Division League fixture against FOMO FC at Mulanje Stadium on June 28, 2026.
In a statement, FAM said the club’s actions contravened Article 29.13 of the National Division League Rules and Regulations, which governs designated entry procedures on matchdays.
The football governing body has directed Changalume Barracks to settle the K300,000 fine within 14 days from the date of the disciplinary notice.
The match in question ended in a goalless draw, with Changalume and FOMO FC sharing the points at Mulanje Stadium.
The sanction comes at a difficult time for Changalume Barracks, who are struggling in the NBS Bank National Division League. The team sits 11th in the 12-team standings with four points.
FOMO FC occupy fifth position on the table with 11 points, while Songwe Border United lead the league with 16 points.
