Police officer expelled for telling people to vote for DPP at Maganga polling centre in Salima

A police officer has been removed from Maganga polling centre in Salima central constituency for allegedly telling people to vote for ruling DPP candidates.

The party monitors received reports from people around about the incident.

It is alleged that the female police officer told some young female voters who came at the centre to tick where there is maize, but the voters reported the matter to MEC officials at the centre.

The situation could have turned ugly had it been that the MDF soldiers at the centre had not intervened.
