MDF soldiers beat up DPP cadets terrolizing Blantyre

Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers have assaulted suspected Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) cadets who were chasing a person who wore a red shirt who was part of the protesters.

MDF soldiers have also chased some cadets who were in a white landrover who were going round the perimeter as well.

DPP cadets have been all over the street of Blantyre and invaded Malawi Congress Party (MCP) regional office smashing windows and chairs.

The cadets also kidnapped the guards manning MCP premises.

Meanwhile Human Right Defenders Coaltion (HRDC) have obtained an injunction stopping Blantyre City Council (BCC) Chief Executive Officer from blocking them in holding a peaceful protest to force the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson to resign.
