Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has called off the planned protests in Karonga district today.
The protests were aimed at seeking justice for the death of Justin Phiri who was killed during the previous Anti-Jane Ansah demonstrations.
The march was supposed to start from Rukuru Roadblock to Karonga Roundabout before proceeding to the district commissioner’s office.
Now reports indicate that the HRDC had been in talks with the police on the matter, hence calling off the protests.
