Pastor’s wife baths church member with hot oil

GHANA – A 51-year-old woman in Ghana is currently battling for her life in the hospital after a pastor’s wife poured hot cooking oil on her during a fight.
The unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 after Mary Njeri had gone to intervene when her attacker, a pastor’s wife, was wrangling with her [Mary’s] friend.
When Njeri attempted to break up the fight, her aggressor, who was preparing chips in her stall, poured hot cooking oil on her.
Njeri, who washes people’s clothes at a fee, sustained burn injuries to her thighs, legs and chest.
The suspect is yet to be arrested, the victim’s sister, Lucy Nyambura, said.
Nyambura has urged police to apprehend and have the attacker prosecuted.
