Allan Hattel says that the gravestone was put up without his knowledge and it felt like it something out of a comedy show. The gravestone was erected at Newmonthill Cemetery in Forfar, Scotland.
He blames his ex-wife for putting the gravestone in the cemetery and says that nobody contacted him for the past three months. While he isn’t certain that it was his ex-wife, he admits he didn’t understand why people didn’t contact him for so long.
My phone hasn’t rung for three or four months. I’ve been confused by it all but now I know why nobody has been calling.
He went to say that he plans to be cremated and not buried. Allan noted that his ex-wife bought the plot of land and put up the headstone with the intention of them being buried together. The two have been separated for 26 years and have two adult children.
To find out you have a gravestone in a cemetery while you are still alive isn’t something that happens every day.
