Father Burns Stepson’s Hands Over Relish in Likoma

Police in the district of Likoma are keeping in custody a man, Nelson Kauka for allegedly burning his stepson’s hands after he ate fish relish from a pot.

According to Likoma Police Station Publicist, Mcliff Ngulube, the victim, on Friday, went into their house and ate all the relish which was kept for lunch.

When the father asked him about the missing of the relish, the son admitted to have eaten the said relish that made father to become angry on him.

The father who finally tied the victim’s both hands with a wire and placed them on a charcoal burner. The victim sustained severe burns on both hands.

He has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous harm which is contrary to Section 235(a) of Penal code.

Kanyuka, 39, comes from Kanyenda village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota.
