Kenya Closes Education Institutions Amid COVID-19

President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced the closure of all education institutions with immediate effect following 2 more cases of Corona virus reaching to 3 cases in the country.

Speaking during a press Conference on Sunday, Uhuru revealed that two people got infected after coming into contact with the first patient.

The two were isolated at Kenyatta National Hospital isolation facility.

“We have received confirmation of two more cases of Corona, the two have tested positive as a result of coming into contact with the first patient.

“Our health officials have already moved them into Kenyatta National Hospital isolation facility, The medical teams are closely monitoring the patients who are reported to be in stable condition and responding well to treatment and this indeed gives us hope,” said kenyatta.

According to BBC Africa, Kenyan government has also announced the suspension of travel for all persons coming into Kenya from any country where cases of Corona virus have been reported to contain the situation.

Only citizens and foreigners with valid residence permits into the country will be allowed to enter the country.

Corona Virus has spread in many countries since its outbreak in China at Wuhan, claiming a lot of lives.

World Health Organization (WHO) declared the virus, a pandemic and advised every country to take necessary measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
