Mutharika Calls for Prayers as Coronavirus Fears Continue

President Peter Mutharika has set aside Thursday, April 2 as a day of National prayers amid Coronavirus Threats.

In a statement issued by the State House, Mutharika has called on the citizenry to dedicate time on Thursday and pray to God in their homes.

Mutharika has said it has been the country’s tradition as a God-fearing nation to combine human efforts with seeking intervention from God to rescue us whenever disasters strike.

He added that the nation turns to God since it understands the Power of God over every situation we may experience as a nation while understanding our own limitations.

Mutharika therefore calls upon all Malawians that they should humble themselves before God and pray and seek his face so that he can heal our land.

Mutharika has also urged all people to continue observing the measures against the Coronavirus threat.
