Botswana Govt Worried Over Citizens’ Refusal To Stay At Home

Members of the public are advised to exercise care and caution when using and handling shared services and equipment in public spaces, as these can contribute to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

This is because the virus can live on surfaces and objects that we probably touch on a daily basis, and these include objects such as Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), Electronic Fund Transfer or Swiping Machines, Cutting Machines, shopping basket/trolleys, handrails, doors handles/knobs and countertops.

The Presidential (COVID-19) Task Force notes with concern that by not staying at home, individuals and families expose themselves to the risk of getting infected or spreading the virus.

Remember to wash your hands with clean water and soap or rub your hands with sanitizer before and after using public facilities.

Furthermore, disinfect door handles/knobs of toilets and houses in communal/multiple households.

STAY HOME, STOP THE VIRUS, SAVE LIVES.
