Health Workers at Dedza District Hospital on strike

Health workers at Dedza District Hospital have embarked on a sit-in until their demands are met.

They have since made it clear that they will only resume work when they have, among others, been given Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Dedza District Hospital spokesperson, Mwai Liabunya admitted that the hospital has inadequate PPE to fight Covid 19.

The strike of health workers has also spread to Mzuzu Central Hospital, Zomba Central Hospital, Balaka District Hospital, Mzimba District Hospital and others.

Effort to talk to spokesperson in the Ministry of health proved futile.
