Covid-19 Cases Rise to 43 as 2 New Cases Confirmed

Minister of Health Jappie Mhango says two new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed, one in Lilongwe and the other one in Blantyre.

This brings the total number of Covid 19 in Malawi to 43.

According to the Ministry of Health, the first case is of a 41-year-old man who is a truck driver from Area 23, Lilongwe, he came into the country on 2 May, 2020 from Beira, Mozambique.
The second case is a 38-year-old man from Bvumbwe, Thyolo, he recently travelled to Tanzania.

Meanwhile, Malawi has added two more testing centres;one in Balaka and the other one in Zomba, bringing the total of testing centres to seven.
