Opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has threatened to drag Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) to court if IT experts from the party are not included into MEC Audit team.
Spokesperson for MCP reverend Maurice Munthali has confirmed.
This follows allegations that the electoral body is registering underage to vote in the fresh presidential elections.
According to MCP it wants its experts to monitor the progress of the voter registration exercise.
Munthali added that MEC has to give permission to MCP to see that those registering to vote are legal.
But MEC has been refuting the allegations that it is registering minors.
